THE STRIPPER

New born

There happy, about coming

Through revere rough

When the time comes about the time come

the baby have to be born

(woouuaa wouuaaa wuuu wuu woouuaa)

Some are insulting

because the coming not wanted well

affront’s like a thorn while the baby’s grown

(silent..)

This poem is dedicated to her

an artist Whose played at night

reaching her body is nothing confidential

ignoring the people shout out

Because none of them, payed well

An Introduction

Proclaim dream, dress face

Like the green house efect, gazing they bright

Like a lotus flower seems want to dance

She prevent moon in the night

Tired of pretending

Trying to be fake

Life is not about dancing

She hide her hair

Scarf looped it

In the outside

She is clear

This poem is dedicated to her

an artist Whose played at night

reaching her body is nothing confidential

ignoring the people shout out

Because none of them, payed well

The prayer

Dusk ..

Come early

Musk ..

Wafted out

Life no longer the same

Pricing discrimination, in harvest season

Forced she went

And night came

Azan call

Then she pray

She wish

“I wish tommorow I can still breathe”

This poem is dedicated to her

an artist Whose played at night

reaching her body is nothing confidential

ignoring the people shout out

Because none of them, payed well

Stranger

Dusk will pass

A shy man, flashed

Go after the dancing girl

Tread tired feet left sore

Right tonight he meshes moon

Stored in silence until the next day

Tired of pretending on the stage

Tomorrow morning just like today

Thorn leaves , leaving tender

Remains silent

This poem is dedicated to her

an artist Whose played at night

reaching her body is nothing confidential

ignoring the people shout out

Because none of them, payed well

Making decision

Been born as joyful girl

Enough to her

She is not brought a promises light

Where’s the promises light?

When the town escape from the sun bright

Step by step she walk

Man by man she talk

And that stage is calling

What is she doing?

Is she dancing?

Couple of mountain in a white land

That long pole make tense

That all man watching her

This poem is dedicated to her

an artist Whose played at night

reaching her body is nothing confidential

ignoring the people shout out

Because none of them, payed well

What draws my attention the most in this poem is the repetitive stanzas that occurs before every end of verse. I think it indicates how the narrator of the story appreciates the job of the stripper despite of its taboo for being such or unacceptable deed in the current norms. It also reflects the narrator’s adoration to the stripper by indicating her as an ‘artist’ which the word somehow neutralizes the quality of public taboo and makes the job less sinister. This stanzas also compare her job as a work of art that is not really appreciated (none of them, payed well) with her body as the medium of such art (couple of mountain in a white land).
